Are you interested in saving lives? Do you enjoy speaking in front of groups and sharing your know-how with others? Become an American Red Cross health and safety instructor!

Our instructors provide training in a variety of environments with a focus on hands-on learning combined with visual aids such as videos and easy-to-read materials. You will have the opportunity to teach the basics of first aid, CPR, and other lifesaving skills.

As an American Red Cross instructor, you will gain invaluable teaching experiences, receive quality training, and teach others in your community to save a life.

As you know, ARC at Cal holds CPR, AED, & First Aid trainings every month for fellow Cal students and other members of the community. We are always in need of instructors, and need your help!

Requirements:
1. You must be CPR certified
2. You must be able to attend all 4 classes (4 Saturdays in a row)
3. You must make the payment of $190 when you enroll with the chapter. This will be reimbursed if you volunteer to teach 4 classes with the chapter within a year of becoming a certified instructor. Teaching for ARC at Cal does not count towards this.
4. Submit an application at http://www.redcrossbayarea.org/general.asp?SN=4979&OP=6020&SUOP=6021&SUOP2=6025&IDCapitulo=VA24T92924 See below for details.

Please check these options on the application:

-Do you plan to teach as an Authorized Provider or a Volunteer Instructor? Both
-I would like to become an American Red Cross Instructor in: First Aid /CPR / AED
-I would prefer to take my instructor course at the following training center: San Francisco, Oakland
-You can leave the workplace section blank if you'd like.

Space is limited to 12 students, so please submit the application as soon as you've made up your mind. The chapter will contact you directly for the next few steps of the process.

Please let Fanny (du.fanny@gmail.com) or Robin (rkatz@berkeley.edu) know once you submit your application so that we will know who our future instructors will be!  Cheesy
