Hello everyone, and thanks to all of you who came to the meeting! If you weren't able to make it, don't fret, I will tell you all the important details now. Hopefully we will see you in the future though (you missed a pretty sweet icebreaker)! (:

Upcoming Events

-Broomball (aka most fun you'll have on ice without ice skates): Thursday, September 19th, meet at Bart at 8pm
Cost: $10 for members who have paid dues, $20 otherwise (you can pay your dues to Melissa at broomball!)

We will be eating dinner beforehand for all those that are interested in good friends, good food, and good fun! Meet at Sliver at 6:45pm. RSVP to msuresh@berkeley.edu if you want to join! -Canteening Orientation: Sunday, September 22, ~4/5pm (will finalize soon), meet outside Dwinelle

Canteeners attend to donors at blood drives and make sure that they are feeling ok, and they need to know how to respond if someone is not feeling well. It is very interactive, and you get to meet lots of people (and eat some yummy snacks with them)! You must attend a canteen orientation in order to volunteer at the canteen. Those who have attended canteen orientation will have to prove to us that you remember by telling us the "secret word". Contact alison.zhong@berkeley.edu if you definitely can't make it on Sunday!

-SEPTEMBER BLOOD DRIVE: September 24th, 12-6pm, Alumni House

We will begin tabling/flyering on Monday, September 16th. Sign up with your new buddies to table/flyer up until the day of the blood drive here: http://www.wejoinin.com/sheets/hmebn

Please note, we'd like you all to table/flyer for at least 2 hours in order to be eligible to canteen.

Other Notes

You need to sign up on Volunteer Connection in order to be an ARC@Cal member! Don't worry about attending an orientation though. Also, if you are under 18, just be sure to sign up once you turn 18 (woooo birthdays!) www.tinyurl.com/ARCvolunteerconnection
