Featuring Guest Speaker: Jimmie Briggs, a human rights and youth advocate currently working with the Red Cross to share his international experiences with students around the Bay Area and discuss the Red Cross' Exploring Humanitarian Law Program. Briggs is a highly acclaimed journalist and writer who has brought to light the lives of children both enlisted in and affected by war. He has served as the Goodwill Ambassador and Special Envoy for Children and Armed Conflict at the United Nations and as Special Consultant for the United Nations Special Session on Children. He is currently director of the Man Up campaign, dedicated to creating a youth movement against violence against women.
