 Hey guys.:)We hope you all made some new friends and found some committees you are interested in joining at the first general meeting. There are plenty of committee meetings and volunteer opportunities already so scroll down and take a look.

General Club Updates

-*Tuesday 2/11- First Be Red Cross Ready Course of the semester!
It's that special monthly opportunity again! Come get prepared with us at the upcoming Be Red Cross Ready presentation by the American Red Cross @ Cal!
We will be teaching you the essentials for disaster preparedness, from making emergency plans to preparing disaster packs and supplies to basic earthquake and fire survival skills. This training is a great refresher for disaster preparedness and an invaluable course for life saving skills! Bring your roommates, friends, and family to our FREE Be Red Cross Ready training! Our upcoming training will bed Tuesday, February 11th with the location to be announced. The date may possibly change as well but don't worry we will keep you posted. Free admission to the general public. See you there.Smiley


Committee Updates

1.Blood
- *Wednesday 2/5, 6-7 PM First Committee Meeting and Canteening Orientation
Location: Dwinelle Steps (a coordinator/intern will be there to direct you!)
Come meet the Blood Committee and learn about the important work that we do and the fun things we have planned for you! We will be holding a canteen orientation at the end of the meeting which will allow you to volunteer at the canteen for all future blood drives.

- Wednesday 2/12, 6-7 PM Board Game Night with the Blood Committee
Location: Dwinelle Steps (a coordinator/intern will be there to direct you!)
Bring your favorite games and have some fun!  Come out and bond with all of the amazing blood committee members and make some new friends. There will be snacks!

-*Thursday 2/6-WEDNESDAY 2/12 Flyering for the February Blood Drive
Location: Sproul Plaza, ARC@Cal table (usually across from GBC)

Help us get the word out about the importance of blood donation and the upcoming blood drive! This is the most important step to having a successful blood drive, and we depend on our amazing volunteers!

- *Thursday 2/13, 12-6 PM February Blood Drive!
Location: Anna Head Alumnae Hall (& Sproul Plaza for flyering!)

Flyering and canteening on the day of the blood drive, must have attended orientation to canteen!


2.Health and Safety
-*Sunday 2/9 Our first CPR/AED/First Aid Training will be held from 9:30am-3:30pm on campus. You will be certified to respond to any basic CPR or First Aid emergency. Cost is $45 for members and $50 for nonmembers. Spots are going fast! You also get 1 volunteer hour!
