Hi all, there will be an earthquake drill in SF on the 17th.  If you're interested in volunteering, we could go as a group!

Below is more information on the event.  More details for transportation and time will be posted if there is any interest from members.

San Francisco SAFE Encourages You To Take The Lead In Creating A Safer More Resilient Community! As San Franciscans, we know that at any moment the earth could begin shaking and we could find ourselves in a very precarious situation. We encourage all of you to take an active role now in getting to know your neighbors, building a cohesive and communicative group that is ready to act and respond effectively, and start planning just how you will be resilient as a neighborhood. SAFE has long been a partner with NERT (Neighborhood Emergency Response Team), DEM (Department of Emergency Management) and the Red Cross and supports their efforts this April as we remember the 1906 quake which occurred on April 18th.

NERT will stage a city-wide drill on April 17th and you can help! NERT needs volunteers to play the role of victims in the city-wide drill at Everett Middle School on Saturday, April 17th. You will be assigned a particular injury and be made up with theatrical bandages. It is a fun opportunity to hone your acting skills and help out a great cause. Practice makes perfect. People of all ages are welcome. There is nothing like an actual hands-on experience to prepare us for what we may encounter in a real life disaster.
