Leadership Development Center (LDC) 2010 applications due FRIDAY, MAY
21! Don't miss this amazing opportunity!
WHAT: The American Red Cross Bay Area Chapter's Leadership Development
Center (LDC) is a four-day overnight conference designed to build strong
leaders and positive relationships among Red Cross youth.
WHO: Any youth entering grades 9-12 who is interested in gaining
leadership skills through volunteer work may apply. All LDC delegates
must make a one-year commitment to Red Cross service.
WHY: At LDC, youth will become trained community disaster preparedness
educators, learn how to start a Red Cross Club, attend workshops about
diversity and public speaking, and gain experience in team building,
leadership roles, CPR and first aid, and international humanitarian law.
WHEN: July 16-19, 2010 at the YMCA Point Bonita Outdoor & Conference
Center in Sausalito, Calif.
Applications are being accepted now through May 21, 2010.
